PXL pendant lamp to pixelate and color a truly vital interior

Really inspiring pendant lamp coming straight from the Mecca of the interior design, Sweden. Created for Svenssons & Lammhult by the designer Fredrik Mattson, the PXL pendant lamp is made from aluminium and metal and playfully colored in a pixel style pattern.

Looks like a good candidate for a fancy DYI development, having in mind that the price of nearly 950 EUR makes it really unaffordable.

For all proud house owners here it comes mailbox from design studio Ahsayane. Made entirely from inox, it’s durable even on heavy conditions outside. It can be easily mounted on any wall and due to the slick design and forms and it’s basically the perfect accent for an outstanding house. The real advantage however is the green feature which is the incorporated stand for plant pots, with the self watering option by the outfall from the roof.

JBA is brilliant Sweden studio creating useful products for improving everyday life, which are subject of sophisticated, yet simplistic and practical design lines.

Green House is a paper bin with poetic soul in a shape of a house where the roof opens up when you step on a pedal. Elegant and beautiful way to store and sort your garbage in the house or in the office.

Tree Hugger is garbage-can made of recycled plastic. It’s shape reminds of a garbage itself, eliminating any excuse for not throwing the scraps where appropriate. The practical element comes when you turn it upside down, so you can use it as stackable stool instead.

Stylish Folding Boat – float in style

Foldboat is extremely practical and seriously aesthetic boat, created by the young designers Max Frommelt and Arno Mathies and one of the remarkable participants on this year’s London Design Festival.

It consists of a single, standard-sized, just 5mm sheet of plastic, which can be easily flatten for easy storage with it’s 250 x 150 cm or quickly folded into the shape of boat to carry 2 people on board.

We particularly like the graphite color, clean shape and the minimalistic design – both waterproof, floating cushions make your journey on water really comfortable, but also guarantee your safety as they are water tight and float.

We must admit that every piece from the Living Kitchen by Studio Gorm makes me feel like I found the dream kitchen setup. The idea of growing, storing, cooking and composting to grow more food, straight on your kitchen plot is simply an Oscar pretender.

The Flow Kitchen developed as a flexible system where resources like waste, water and energy are reused, thus way creating a dynamic and endless flow between the natural elements.

The most creative Flow’s kitchen accents are:

1. The vertical hanging dish rack, not only save space, but also waters the planter boxes with herbs and edible plants, which are growing beneath it.

2. Composter bin, which is charged with scraps by an integrated cutting board. It’s simply a genius idea to produce nutrient rich fertilizer by breaking down the waste food – it’s just a bit not right to grow worm farm in your kitchen to help you out turning the food into worm castings.
